Danish royal twins confirmed in historic palace church ceremony

Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent of Denmark were confirmed in Fredensborg Palace Church on Saturday, following a long-standing royal tradition, Danish broadcaster DR reports.

The twins, children of King Frederik X, were confirmed in the same church where their father, grandmother Queen Margrethe, and older siblings Crown Prince Christian and Princess Isabella also underwent the Lutheran rite of passage. The church has hosted royal confirmations for over a century.

A private celebration for the royal family and close friends will follow the ceremony.
