Around 90 naked men ran through Trondheim streets
Around 90 naked men were seen running through the streets of Trondheim on Friday evening, local police confirmed to Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet.
Operations manager Stian Martinsen Aalberg of the Trøndelag police district described the incident as unusual. “We received reports of 90 naked men running around—a loud and large group. This isn’t an everyday occurrence here,” he told Dagbladet.
Police patrolled the area to locate the runners and eventually made contact with the group, who were reportedly part of a student event, though not officially organised by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Authorities instructed the participants that such activities were not welcome.
Local resident Kaja Eriksen witnessed the event near her home at Kantennelunden on Tyholt. “I just thought it was a bit funny. It’s usually very quiet here, so this was a surprise,” she said. “There were many young people, even more than those running. We found it amusing, though I understand some might see it as inappropriate.”
Police confirmed the situation had been resolved by late evening.
