Human remains found in Vejen linked to 2023 homicide case
Parts of a human body have been discovered in a natural area between Drejervej and Bøgevej in Vejen, southern Denmark, police confirmed on Monday.
The South and South Jutland Police stated in a press release that investigators believe the remains are connected to the March 2023 killing of a 42-year-old Polish citizen in Københoved. The victim’s next of kin have been notified.
The remains have been sent for forensic examination, which is expected to confirm or refute the suspected link to the unsolved homicide. Police and the National Criminal Technical Centre (NKC) have conducted searches in the area since Sunday evening and will maintain a heavy presence during the ongoing investigation.
No further details have been released as the case develops.
