Record-breaking 88 cm salmon caught on opening day of Danish fishing season
A salmon measuring 88 centimetres was caught on Wednesday as Denmark’s annual salmon fishing season officially opened, reports DR.
The 16 April marks the traditional “salmon premiere” in Danish rivers, when anglers gather—particularly in western and southern Jutland—to cast their lines for the season’s first catch.
This year’s opening day saw one angler land an exceptionally large specimen, measuring 88 cm, according to the report.
