A new opinion poll by research firm Verian indicates that two-thirds of Finns believe Prime Minister Petteri Orpo’s coalition government has performed poorly in its duties, marking the weakest approval rating of its current term.

The survey, conducted in late March with over 1,300 respondents, found that 67 percent of Finns rated the government’s performance as weak. Meanwhile, slightly more than one in four respondents considered the government’s work to be at least fairly good.

When asked about the opposition, 57 percent of those polled felt it had also failed to present viable alternatives to government policies, performing at least fairly poorly in its role.

Verian’s poll has a maximum margin of error of 2.7 percentage points.
