Two men remanded for four weeks over arson, assault, and robbery

Two men have been remanded in custody for four weeks in connection with a violent assault, arson, and robbery in Tórshavn, according to a report by Faroese broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.

The detention was extended voluntarily, meaning no court hearing was required. Both suspects have admitted partial guilt in the case.

The incident occurred in a residential building in central Tórshavn in the evening of 18 February. The victim, who was alone at home, was subjected to severe violence, and a fire was deliberately set while he was present. The two suspects, aged 53 and 36, remain in custody pending further investigation.
