Cyclist stabs stranger from behind in Oulu park
A young man riding a bicycle stabbed a pedestrian in the back in a park near Kajaanintie in Oulu on Tuesday evening, police report. The victim suffered a bleeding wound to the upper body, and authorities are seeking witnesses to the attempted assault.
According to Yle, the attack occurred around 8:00 PM in a park adjacent to Kajaanintie. The suspect, described as a young man wearing a dark beige jacket, arrived by bicycle from the direction of Kajaanintie and fled toward Ouluhalli immediately after the stabbing. He was riding a narrow-tired men’s bicycle.
The victim, who was on foot, was struck in the upper body, resulting in a bleeding stab wound. Police have not disclosed the victim’s condition but are treating the incident as an attempted serious assault.
