Danish rail operator DSB has announced significantly reduced train services on Zealand for Wednesday, following major disruptions caused by downed overhead power lines on Tuesday, DR reports.

Nearly all trains on Banedanmark’s Zealand routes were cancelled Tuesday after two overhead power lines collapsed. While repairs are underway, technical issues persist, forcing DSB to operate a limited schedule on Wednesday.

Passengers are advised to seek alternative transport and check Rejseplanen for updates.

Reduced service overview

DSB’s website outlines the following adjustments for Wednesday:

  • Intercity trains will run hourly between Zealand, Funen, and Jutland.
  • Regional trains will operate hourly between Kalundborg, Holbæk, and Copenhagen, and between Nykøbing Falster, Næstved, and Copenhagen.
  • Coastal Line (Kystbanen) services between Helsingør and Copenhagen will run every 30 minutes.
  • InterCityLyn trains will maintain their usual hourly service.
  • Trains between Næstved, Køge, and Copenhagen will run as scheduled.

DSB has arranged replacement buses from early morning, stationed at Copenhagen Central Station. Further updates will be posted on dsb.dk and Rejseplanen overnight.
