The Faroese parliament, the Løgting, now includes its youngest directly elected member, 20-year-old Bjørg Brynhildardóttir Egholm, who took her seat this week, reports Faroese national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.
Egholm, representing the left-wing Republican Party (Tjóðveldi), secured 971 personal votes in the 26 March election, earning the top spot on her party’s list. “It’s a good experience, and I’m happy to get to work,” she told KVF.
