Greta Thunberg no longer feels safe in Sweden

Climate activist Greta Thunberg has said she no longer feels secure in Sweden and may leave the country, according to an interview with Swedish newspaper *Dagens ETC* published Monday.

Thunberg, who rose to prominence at age 15 after staging a solo protest outside Sweden’s parliament, told the paper she is considering a future without a permanent home, instead traveling to “places where she can do the most good.” She declined to specify potential destinations but described her plan as “living out of a backpack and sleeping on friends’ kitchen floors.”

The interview coincides with the upcoming release of *Strejkarna* (*The Strikers*), a documentary by Helena Molin that follows Thunberg and other activists from the early days of the *Fridays for Future* school strikes to the present. In the film, they reflect on the pressure they faced and the movement’s evolution.

Thunberg, now studying to become a nursing assistant via distance learning, has been a frequent target of both criticism and harassment since her activism began. The documentary premieres this spring.
