Faroe Islands weather forecast warns of strong winds and mixed conditions
The Faroe Islands Meteorological Office has issued a forecast for strong easterly winds, sunny spells, and unsettled weather over the next 24 hours, according to a report by public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.
On Monday, winds will reach 8–13 m/s from the east, with partly cloudy skies, sunny intervals, and occasional showers. Later in the day, winds will ease to 3–8 m/s, though conditions will remain overcast with little sunshine and some rain.
In the evening, easterly winds of 3–8 m/s will persist, with increasing cloud cover and unsettled weather. Overnight, winds will strengthen again to 8–13 m/s, shifting from east to south, then west, before easing toward morning. Rain and overcast skies are expected.
On Tuesday morning, westerly winds of 5–10 m/s—gusting up to 13 m/s—will bring partly cloudy conditions, sunny spells, and showers. Temperatures will range between 5°C and 9°C.
