Faroe Islands weather forecast warns of strong winds and rain
The Faroese national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya has issued a weather forecast for the next 24 hours, warning of strong easterly winds, occasional sunshine, and unsettled conditions with rain expected overnight.
On Monday morning, fresh to strong easterly winds of 8–13 m/s will bring partly cloudy skies with sunny intervals and occasional showers. Wind speeds will ease to 3–8 m/s in the afternoon, with variable cloud cover, limited sunshine, and continued unsettled weather.
In the evening, winds will shift to a fresh easterly breeze of 3–8 m/s, with increasing cloud cover and rain. Overnight, winds will strengthen again to 8–13 m/s, occasionally dropping below 5 m/s. The wind direction will shift from east to south, then later to west, before settling as a westerly breeze by morning. Conditions will be cloudy with rain.
Early Tuesday, fresh to strong westerly winds of 5–10 m/s, gusting up to 13 m/s, will bring partly cloudy skies, sunny spells, and unsettled weather. Temperatures will range between 5°C and 9°C.
