Norwegian meteorologists advise making the most of Saturday’s spring weather
Norway can expect spring-like conditions across most of the country this weekend, though Sunday may bring rain and snow in some regions, meteorologists report.
Meteorologist Sigrid Auganes told Dagbladet that Saturday will see fair and partly cloudy weather along the coast from Stavanger to Kirkenes. Eastern Norway will have a mix of clouds and sunshine, with possible light rain in western Telemark and parts of Innlandet. Temperatures are forecast to reach up to 13°C.
However, conditions will deteriorate by Sunday, with rain expected in western and eastern Norway. Mountain areas in southern Norway face heavy snowdrift warnings, combining strong winds and reduced visibility. “It’s wise to take advantage of Saturday if you’re planning outdoor activities,” Auganes advised.
Northern regions, including Trøndelag and Nord-Norge, will see stable, mild weather throughout the weekend, with temperatures in the double digits. “We’re seeing proper spring temperatures nationwide,” the meteorologist added.
