Faroese man arrested for attempting to smuggle drugs into the country
A Faroese man in his thirties was arrested at the airport on Thursday evening after authorities found him carrying drugs, primarily hashish, into the country, public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.
The quantity seized was less than 100 grams, though police did not specify the exact amount. The man, a Faroese citizen, arrived on a flight late in the evening.
This is the second such incident in recent days. Earlier this week, another individual was detained at the airport for attempting to bring hashish into the Faroe Islands.
