18-year-old driver dies in single-vehicle crash in Kylmäkoski

A teenage driver was killed in a road accident in Kylmäkoski, Akaa, on Thursday evening, reports Finnish public broadcaster Yle. Police are investigating the incident as a case of aggravated endangerment of traffic safety and have launched a death investigation.

The crash occurred at around 10:35 PM on Sotkiantie road when the car, traveling at high speed, veered off the road in a curve and collided with trees. The impact severely damaged the vehicle, and the 18-year-old driver, born in 2008, died at the scene. No passengers were in the car at the time.

Authorities are examining the circumstances leading to the accident.
