Faroese coalition leaders sign new government agreement

The leaders of the Faroese People’s Party, Union Party, and Social Democratic Party have signed a coalition agreement, forming a new government with 22 seats in the Løgting (Faroese Parliament), Kringvarp Føroya reports.
Beinir Johannesen, set to become prime minister (løgmaður) in the new coalition, stated that the government intends to maintain strong cooperation with opposition parties. The agreement serves as the foundation for collaboration between the three parties in the upcoming term.
The People’s Party holds nine seats, the Union Party seven, and the Social Democratic Party six in the 33-seat parliament.
