Danish fuel prices have fallen sharply following a ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran, DR reports.

Diesel prices at OK service stations dropped by one Danish krone overnight, from 18.39 to 17.39 kroner per litre. Petrol prices at staffed stations fell by 30 øre, from 16.09 to 15.79 kroner per litre. Other fuel chains have also lowered prices.

The decline follows a roughly 15% drop in global oil prices after the US-Iran ceasefire was announced. Despite the reduction, fuel remains significantly more expensive than before the US launched attacks on Iran under then-President Donald Trump. At that time, petrol prices were over two kroner per litre lower than current levels.
