The People’s Party, Union Party, and Social Democratic Party in the Faroe Islands have largely agreed on a draft transport policy document, with only minor adjustments remaining before formal negotiations begin, public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.

Beinir Johannesen, the lead negotiator, told KVF that the parties have reached consensus on most key points. “Only small refinements are left before the transport document is finalised, and then we will start negotiating the parties’ policy agreements,” Johannesen said in an interview on Tuesday.

The three parties have been working together to align their positions on transport infrastructure and services, a process now nearing completion.
