First-ever strike at Finnish universities of applied sciences begins tomorrow at Metropolia
The Trade Union of Education in Finland (OAJ) has announced the first strike in the history of Finland’s universities of applied sciences, set to begin on Thursday at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in the Helsinki region.
According to the union’s statement, the industrial action will affect the Arabianranta, Karamalmi, Myllypuro, and Myyrmäki campuses in the capital area.
A separate strike at Tampere University of Applied Sciences will also take place on Thursday, April 9.
The OAJ has not provided further details on the duration or scope of the strikes.
