Finland to see spring temperatures up to 15°C this weekend
Finland will experience a sharp turn toward spring-like weather this week, with sunny skies nationwide from Wednesday and weekend temperatures reaching up to 15°C, according to public broadcaster Yle.
Meteorologist Aleksi Lohtander of Yle reports that while Tuesday remains cloudy, windy, and rainy in places—with temperatures between 5–10°C in the south and central regions, and cooler in the north—a high-pressure system will bring clear skies starting Wednesday.
Though Wednesday and Thursday will stay sunny, temperatures will remain below 10°C nationwide. The warming trend accelerates from Friday, peaking over the weekend. “We’ll likely see around 15 degrees by then,” Lohtander said.
The mild conditions are expected to persist into early next week, with forecasts suggesting above-average temperatures for much of April. Lohtander added that a return to harsh winter conditions now appears unlikely.
