Return traffic from the Easter holiday will begin in earnest after noon on Monday, according to an assessment by Fintraffic’s road traffic centre. The increased traffic is expected to continue until around 7 p.m.

Traffic operator Kirsi Salokanto told news agency STT at around 10 a.m. that roads remain quiet for now.

Snowfall in Southwest Finland and Eastern Finland has not affected driving conditions, as it has already melted, Salokanto noted. While main roads south of Oulu are clear, some slush and icy patches may remain on roads in Lapland.

Overall, road conditions are described as normal for this time of year.
