Bus overturns on E6 highway, closing major route near Gjøvik

A passenger bus overturned in a roundabout on Norway’s E6 highway near Biristrand on Sunday, forcing a full closure of the route in both directions, Dagbladet reports.

According to police, the bus was carrying 16 passengers and a driver when it tipped over. Emergency services are on site, and tow trucks have been dispatched. Authorities confirm minor injuries among those involved, though the extent remains unclear.

Operations leader Haagen Løvseth told Dagbladet that the road will remain closed until the bus is removed and the scene is secured. No timeline for reopening has been provided.
