Swedish police investigate alleged rape on Baltic Sea cruise

Swedish police are investigating a suspected rape aboard a Tallink Silja Line cruise ship, according to a report by Finnish newspaper Iltalehti.

The incident is said to have occurred on a vessel travelling from Turku, Finland, to Stockholm, Sweden, which docked on Friday morning. One person has been detained in connection with the case, the newspaper reported.

The investigation is being led by Swedish authorities, Iltalehti stated. No further details have been released.
