Easter travel reaches peak today as Finns hit the roads

Easter holiday traffic in Finland will be at its busiest today, Maundy Thursday, according to a statement from Fintraffic’s road traffic centre. The heaviest congestion is expected between 1 pm and 7 pm.

Traffic will remain heavy on Good Friday, particularly between 9 am and 2 pm, with northern routes potentially staying busy later into the day. The return peak is forecast for Monday, the second day of Easter, between noon and 8 pm.

Congestion may occur during both outbound and return trips, especially in southern Finland, the agency warned.
