Finnish authorities confirm Parikkala drone originated from Ukraine and carried a warhead

Finnish authorities believe a drone found in Parikkala, southeastern Finland, originated from Ukraine and was equipped with a combat payload, according to information obtained by national broadcaster Yle.

The Border Guard Agency first reported the discovery of the drone in Parikkala. Authorities are currently examining the device, though further details have not yet been released.

The drone was located near the border zone in Närsäkkälä, Kitee, northeast of Lake Pyhävesi. A Border Guard vehicle was photographed at the site where the drone landed.
