Finnish foreign minister to discuss drones that entered Finland in live broadcast
Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen will appear on public broadcaster Yle’s A-studio programme on Monday evening to assess whether the drone incidents over the weekend have altered Finland’s security situation, Yle reports.
Two drones crashed in southeastern Finland on Sunday—one in Kouvola and another in Luumäki. Authorities have confirmed that one of the drones was of Ukrainian origin, while the source of the second remains unconfirmed.
Valtonen will be joined by Jyri Kosola, former research director of the Finnish Defence Forces, and security policy expert Henri Vanhanen. The discussion will be streamed live from 21:00 local time.
