Pharmacy in Tvøroyri to remain in municipal premises until 2027
The pharmacy in Tvøroyri will continue operating in municipal-owned facilities until August 1, 2027, following a decision by the local council, reports Faroese broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.
The extension comes after the pharmacy was forced to relocate last summer due to the discovery of blue-stain fungus in its original building. The council had initially leased the pharmacy temporary space at Sjógøta 2 for one year, with the agreement potentially lasting until the end of 2026. However, the new decision ensures the pharmacy can stay until mid-2027.
Remediation work on the original building is reportedly underway.
