One person arrested after fatal bus shooting in Tyresö

A suspect has been detained on suspicion of murder following a fatal shooting on a public transport bus in Tyresö, south of Stockholm, according to reports from Swedish broadcaster SVT Nyheter and newspaper Aftonbladet.

Court documents cited by Aftonbladet indicate that the detained individual has been assigned a public defence lawyer. Prosecutors have not yet confirmed the arrest.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of 25 March aboard an SL bus in the Bollmora district of Tyresö. An 18-year-old man died after being shot in front of around 20 passengers. No further details about the victim or the circumstances of the shooting have been released.

Investigations remain ongoing.
