Faroese and Greenlandic members of the Danish parliament have received invitations to meet with acting Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen next week, as coalition negotiations continue following Tuesday’s general election, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

Sjúrður Skaale and Anna Falkenberg, both re-elected in this week’s vote, are among the lawmakers set to attend. Frederiksen, tasked by the king with leading consultations to form a new government, began meetings with party leaders on Friday. The Social Liberals (SF), the Unity List, the Radical Left, the Alternative, the Moderates, the Red-Green Alliance, and the Conservatives have also been invited for discussions.

The talks follow Denmark’s general election on Tuesday, where no single bloc secured a majority. Negotiations are expected to extend into next week as Frederiksen works to build a governing coalition.
