Norway’s parliament will on Friday name the chair and members of its independent commission investigating ties between Norwegian authorities and Jeffrey Epstein’s network, Dagbladet reports.

The Storting’s presidium has selected the commission’s leadership, which will be formally presented at 10:00 local time in a meeting with parliamentary speaker Masud Gharahkhani. The group will also finalise the commission’s mandate, which lawmakers unanimously approved last week.

The inquiry will examine Norway’s foreign service and other government bodies in connection with Epstein-related disclosures, with a scope extending back to before the 1993 Oslo Accords. Investigators are tasked with reviewing relationships between Norwegian officials and external organisations, foundations, and networks where Norway has been engaged.

Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre previously supported the commission’s establishment, which the Storting approved without opposition.
