Ten women have been elected to the Faroese parliament, the Løgting, matching the record set in the 2022 election, Faroese public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.

Despite some turnover in parliament’s membership, the number of female representatives remains unchanged. The newly elected women are Elsebeth Mercedes Gunnleygsdóttir, Eyðdis Hartmann Niclasen, Sunnvá Dahl Høgfeldt, Súsanna Bertholdsen, Margit Stórá, Bjørg Brynhildardóttir Egholm, Sirið Stenberg, Liljan Weihe, Hervør Pálsdóttir, and Ruth Vang. Those marked with an asterisk () are first-time representatives.
