SATS Group fitness chain targeted in cyberattack

The SATS Group, which operates the Elixia fitness chain, has been hit by a cybersecurity breach, the company confirmed in a statement on Thursday, according to Finnish public broadcaster Yle.

The incident was detected on March 14, with investigations revealing a broader impact than initially assessed. The company is working with cybersecurity experts and has notified authorities. So far, there is no evidence that member data has been compromised, and the membership system appears unaffected, SATS stated.

The group operates 250 fitness centers across Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark under brands including SATS, Elixia, Fresh Fitness, SATS Yoga, and Balance.
