No party leader received the most votes in Faroese parliamentary election

No party leader secured the highest number of personal votes in the Faroese parliamentary election, according to results reported by Faroese national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.
Bárður á Steig Nielsen, leader of the Union Party, received 299 votes, placing second on his party’s list behind Onna Falkenberg. Within the People’s Party, leader Beinir Johannesen garnered 441 votes, securing the fifth spot on the list behind Jørgen Niclasen, Elsebeth Mercedis Gunnleygsdóttur, Símun Jóanesarson Hansen, and Astrið Breckmann.
Sirið Stenberg of the Republic party received 281 votes, ranking fourth after former leader Høgni Hoydal (1,532 votes), Jóhannis Erlendsson, and Liljan Weihe. Jenis av Rana, leader of the Centre Party, received 97 votes, while his parliamentary colleague Steffan Klein Poulsen earned 139.
The Social Democratic Party fielded two separate candidate lists for the parliamentary and Faroese national elections, with party leader Aksel V. Johannesen not appearing on either. The Progress Party and Self-Government Party did not participate in the election.
