Voter turnout in the Hálsi polling station exceeded the last parliamentary election, according to a report by Faroese public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.

The polling station in Hálsi closed half an hour ago, and officials will now count the ballots, with final results expected before 11 p.m. local time. Jóan Petur Hentze, municipal director of Tórshavn, confirmed that turnout reached 71.4 percent—an increase of 0.8 percent compared to the previous election.

Hentze stated that the counting process is proceeding as planned.
