Dali municipal council takes full responsibility for election fraud case

The municipal council in Dali has acknowledged full responsibility for an election fraud case in Oyndarfjørður, stating they take the matter with the utmost seriousness, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

The case, which involves electoral misconduct in Oyndarfjørður, has progressed to the legal system. All municipal councils in the Faroe Islands have taken note of the issue, including Dali’s council, which has emphasised its commitment to ensuring proper procedures are followed.

Council members stated they assume responsibility “in the strictest terms” to uphold integrity in their governance, ensuring everything is conducted correctly.
