The Centre Party in the Faroe Islands has confirmed that five of its candidates are missing from the official ballot for Tuesday’s parliamentary election, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

Party leader Jenis av Rana acknowledged a “human error” in the preparation of the list, stating that oversight was insufficient when the candidate names were submitted. The party had previously announced 16 candidates but only 11 appear on the ballot.

The missing candidates are Bjørg av Rana Nietschke, Jann Johannesen, Rani Andrasson Skaalum, Sonni Jacobsen, and Vilhelm Hendrik í Skálanum. The latter represented the party in a televised election debate on Monday evening.

Av Rana took responsibility for the mistake, which the party itself must rectify.
