Young Faroese voters undecided ahead of parliamentary election
A new voter survey by Faroese public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya shows that many young voters remain uncertain about which party to support in the upcoming Løgting (Faroese Parliament) election.
According to the report, nearly half of voters aged 18 to 29 have not yet decided where to place their vote. Political analysts suggest the uncertainty stems from both first-time voters and the complexity of current issues.
Annika Soll, a social studies teacher at Glasir College, told KVF that the indecision is understandable, as many young people are voting for the first time. She also noted that pressing concerns—such as economic stability, childcare policies, and housing availability—are making the choice more difficult.
These issues resonate strongly with young voters, who must weigh which party best aligns with their priorities before casting their ballots.
