Police investigate suspicious death in Bærum, one person arrested

Norwegian police are investigating a suspicious death at a property in Bærum, near Oslo, after a body was discovered on Saturday evening, Dagbladet reports. One individual has been detained in connection with the case.

According to operations manager Øyvind Hammervold of the Oslo Police District, officers were alerted shortly before 8 PM. “A person has been arrested in the case,” Hammervold confirmed, though he declined to specify any relationship between the deceased and the detained individual.

Forensic investigators are en route to the scene as authorities begin their inquiry. Police have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the death.
