Police investigate double homicide on Karmøy
Police in western Norway are searching for one or more suspects after two people were found dead in separate locations in Kopervik on Karmøy, Dagbladet reports.
The first body was discovered at 9:29 AM in a care facility, prompting a police response. During subsequent inquiries, officers found a second deceased person in a nearby residence just before 1:00 PM, according to Fredrik Martin Soma, a prosecutor with the Sør-Vest police district.
“We are investigating these deaths as two connected homicides,” Soma confirmed, though he declined to provide further details. No arrests have been made, and locating the perpetrator(s) remains the top priority.
Police have cordoned off a large area and deployed over a dozen patrol cars to the scene. Forensic teams are securing evidence and conducting interviews. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact police at 02800.
