Faroese election posters at risk of being blown away by weekend winds
The Faroese Meteorological Office has warned that strong winds expected over the weekend could tear down election posters across the Faroe Islands, Kringvarp Føroya reports.
Forecasters predict unsettled weather at the turn of the week, with particularly high winds on Sunday. Hanus Kjølbro, a meteorologist at the Faroese Meteorological Office, advised that removing posters in advance may be wiser than searching for remnants on Monday.
“It will be an exciting Sunday evening to see what remains,” Kjølbro said. “Perhaps it’s easier to take them down now rather than look for scraps later. That might be the best advice.”
