Finnish food safety authority warns of health risks in chocolate mousse and protein bar
The Finnish Food Authority has issued warnings about two products being recalled due to health risks and incorrect allergen labelling, as reported by national broadcaster Yle.
Dr. Oetker Finland is recalling its 95-gram chocolate mousse powder with a best-before date of March 2027 and batch number L5260. The product, sold in Finland, carries labelling only in Danish, missing the legally required Finnish and Swedish text. The mousse contains milk and may include traces of gluten, egg, soy, and hazelnuts, posing a risk to consumers with allergies to these ingredients.
Additionally, Leader Foods is recalling its 60-gram Performance Protein Soft White Chocolate bar with a best-before date of 11 November 2026 and batch number x23725. The product was found to contain egg residues not declared on the packaging, creating a hazard for those allergic to eggs.
Consumers who have purchased these products are advised to check batch details and avoid consumption if affected by the recalls.
