Faroese construction firm more than doubles annual profit
The Faroese construction company J&K Petersen more than doubled its annual profit in 2025, reporting pre-tax earnings of 17.6 million Danish kroner, according to a statement released Friday.
The company’s equity has now reached 65 million kroner, the announcement said. Key projects last year included the Fámjinstunnilin tunnel and expansion work at Vágar Airport.
Managing Director Sigtór A. Petersen and Deputy Director Anna Kalsø, who also oversees cultural initiatives, noted that the outlook remains positive, with several major contracts in the pipeline. The firm currently employs around 110 people.
The results were published by Faroese national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.
