Police investigate more crimes by female trio, seek two elderly victims
Southwest Finland Police are searching for two elderly victims of a theft spree allegedly carried out by three women, Yle reports. The women, already detained on suspicion of multiple aggravated burglaries, are now linked to a total of 19 incidents across Northern Satakunta and Sastamala in Pirkanmaa.
The crimes primarily targeted elderly residents, with the suspects gaining entry to homes before stealing valuables—mostly jewellery—worth thousands of euros. Investigators confirmed the trio provided detailed accounts of most incidents during questioning, but two cases remain unresolved due to unclear victim identification.
One unsolved burglary occurred on 2 March in a Lavia row house between 5–6 PM, while the second took place on 19 February in a detached home in Pori’s Lassila district around 10:30 PM. In both cases, an elderly woman reportedly let the suspects inside.
“We need help identifying the victims in these two cases,” said Detective Chief Inspector Jari Klaus of Southwest Finland Police. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact [email protected].
