Poliisi investigates fatal stabbing in Malminkartano as murder

A man born in the 1940s died after being stabbed late on Wednesday night near the Malminkartano train station on Luutnantintie. The incident occurred at 22:59 local time, according to authorities.

Investigators have described the attack as particularly brutal and cruel, noting that the victim was subjected to severe violence beyond the stabbing itself. The suspect, a man born in the 1990s, was taken into custody and is being held pending a court hearing for potential remand detention.

Police stated that the victim and the suspect had no prior relationship.
