The Faroese women’s shelter Kvinnuhúsið is searching for a new director, with applications open until 15 April, reports public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.

The shelter, located in a building shared with KFUM in Tórshavn, provides counselling, support, and temporary accommodation for women and children. It also offers guidance for men and collaborates with individuals and organisations on related issues.

Current director Eyðvør Tausen Olsen has led the shelter since September 2022. Her predecessor was Luciana Santos. The director, working alongside the shelter’s board, is responsible for daily operations and management.

Interviews for the position will take place in week 17, beginning 20 April.
