Unemployment increased in every age group in Finland last year, according to the latest labour force survey by Statistics Finland, as reported by news agency STT.

The unemployment rate climbed for both men and women, though the number of employed individuals fell only among women, while male employment levels remained stable. The sharpest decline in employment was seen among women aged 25–34.

Overall, the labour force grew slightly compared to the previous year, with 27,000 more people either employed or unemployed, bringing the total to nearly three million.
