Finnish police suspect Swedish gang leader “Kurdikettu” of serious drug crimes in Finland
Finnish National Bureau of Investigation (KRP) suspects Rawa Majid, the notorious Swedish gang leader known as “Kurdikettu” (Kurdish Fox), of aggravated drug offences in Finland, according to information obtained by Finnish public broadcaster Yle.
The latest investigation involves two young Swedish men, one of them a minor, who allegedly travelled to Finland last year to distribute large quantities of amphetamine on behalf of Majid’s Foxtrot criminal network. Both were arrested in early 2025 on suspicion of aggravated drug offences.
The 17-year-old suspect has been in Swedish youth custody in recent years, while the 18-year-old has prior convictions for drug crimes and resisting arrest. Police believe the pair were specifically recruited by Majid’s organisation to carry out drug trafficking in Helsinki and Espoo between late 2024 and early 2025.
Marko Heinonen, the lead investigator from KRP, confirmed the case has moved to prosecution consideration, with charges expected by early April. Authorities have been probing Foxtrot’s potential drug operations in Finland since 2023.
Majid, currently believed to be in Iran, remains internationally wanted. Rumours of his death circulated in Sweden this week, but Swedish police told Dagens Nyheter the claims were unfounded.
Foxtrot, led by Majid, has been linked to a violent gang conflict with the rival Rumba network in 2023, resulting in multiple deaths. Both Majid and Rumba leader Ismail “Mansikka” Abdo fled abroad amid criminal investigations—Abdo to Turkey, where he was detained last year, and Majid to Iran, where reports suggest he was briefly held before alleged cooperation with Iranian authorities.
