Voters in the Faroe Islands who plan to cast postal ballots in the upcoming parliamentary elections have two separate deadlines, the national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.
For the *Fólkatingsvalið* (Danish parliamentary election) on **24 March**, the deadline to submit a postal vote is **Monday, 21 March**, as the final day falls on a weekend. The National Electoral Authority has clarified that voters should check with their local municipality whether postal votes can be submitted during regular office hours on **Friday, 20 March**, as this is not guaranteed.
For the *Løgtingsvalið* (Faroese parliamentary election) on **26 March**, the final deadline for postal voting is the day before the election, **Wednesday, 25 March**.
The procedures for postal voting in both elections are otherwise identical, according to Hilmar Høgenni, head of the Environment and Family Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture.
