Laufey releases enchanting adventure album Undurfagur ævintýraheimur

Icelandic-Chinese singer-songwriter Laufey has unveiled her latest album, Undurfagur ævintýraheimur (A Wonderful Adventure World), reports national broadcaster RÚV. The 12-track collection blends jazz, pop, and Icelandic folk influences, marking a new creative direction for the artist.

The album features collaborations with Icelandic musicians, including contributions from pianist Ólafur Arnalds and lyrics co-written with poet Sjón. Laufey described the project as a “love letter to Iceland,” drawing inspiration from the country’s landscapes and folklore.

Undurfagur ævintýraheimur follows Laufey’s 2023 breakout album Bewitched, which earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. The new release is available on all major streaming platforms.
