The Icelandic National Broadcasting Service (RÚV) reports that the government coalition is being held accountable for the ongoing political impasse in the country.

The deadlock stems from unresolved disputes between ruling parties over key policy decisions, including budget allocations and proposed legislative reforms. Opposition leaders have accused the government of failing to negotiate in good faith, while public frustration grows over delayed economic and social initiatives.

The situation has raised concerns about potential early elections if no resolution is reached. Political analysts warn that prolonged stagnation could further destabilise public trust in government institutions.
